Nia Upeoni is derived from two Kiswahili words Nia – Intention Upeoni – Horizon combined to mean intention beyond the horizon.

Nia Upeoni is a movement for transformation. We exist to equip leaders, communities, and organizations with the tools to challenge injustice, redesign systems, and build futures rooted in equity and resilience.
Founded on the belief that lasting change begins with empowered people, Nia Upeoni blends training, research, and community engagement to strengthen grassroots leadership and amplify voices that are often overlooked.
