Fellowship FAQs

Anyone who has participated in Nia Upeoni’s courses, workshops, or training programmes is eligible. Whether you joined us for Systems Thinking, Leadership, Policy & Advocacy, or Community Impact, you are part of the network we invite into the Fellowship.

No formal academic qualifications are required. What matters most is your commitment to systemic change, community empowerment, and applying what you’ve learned with Nia Upeoni to real-world impact.

As a Fellow, you’ll join a community of changemakers. You’ll gain access to:

  • Exclusive workshops and advanced training.
  • Opportunities to collaborate on projects and campaigns.
  • Platforms to share your work and amplify your voice.
  • A supportive network of peers and mentors.

Yes, there is a modest annual contribution to sustain the Fellowship community and its activities. This helps fund events, resources, and collaborative projects. Concessions may be available for grassroots leaders or community-based organizations.

  • Recognition as part of a respected fellowship of grassroots leaders.
  • Access to tools, mentoring, and resources to scale your impact.
  • Opportunities to influence policy and practice.
  • A network that supports and strengthens your leadership journey.

Applications can be submitted online through the Nia Upeoni Fellowship portal. You’ll be asked to share your experience with Nia Upeoni programmes and outline how you plan to use the Fellowship to advance systemic change.

Your application will be reviewed by our Fellowship team. If successful, you’ll receive a welcome pack and be invited to an orientation session to connect with other Fellows and learn about upcoming opportunities.

The Fellowship is designed for individuals. However, organizations that have partnered with Nia Upeoni may nominate representatives to join.

Courses and workshops provide skills and knowledge. The Fellowship is about ongoing connection, collaboration, and collective action. It’s where learning turns into leadership and impact.

Membership is renewed annually, but the Fellowship is designed to be a lifelong network. Many Fellows remain engaged for years, contributing to projects, mentoring new leaders, and shaping systemic change together.
